About This Toolbox

Why this site exists, and how to use it

This isn't a mild personality quirk. Narcissistic abuse can be a family and legacy annihilator. It can cost you your peace, your finances, your relationships, and your sense of self. Narcissistic Personality Disorder sits inside what's known as the Dark Triad alongside sociopathy for a reason: at its most severe, it can be every bit as destructive.

If you're reading this, you may already suspect you're the scapegoat, the family member who has started to see the pattern. That's the beginning of an exit. Most people still under a narcissist's spell, especially the enabling spouse or the golden child, don't get that chance until decades of their life, money, or reputation are already gone.

This site is built around the roles a narcissistic family assigns to the people in it, the tactics and schemes used to keep everyone in line, and the concrete methods people use to protect themselves and get out.

Identify the Roles

📖

Learn the Language

Gaslighting, DARVO, triangulation, love-bombing. Narcissistic abuse has a vocabulary. Naming a tactic takes away much of its power.
